'Fallout 4' May Release in Fall 2015, Despite a Total Lack of PAX East Presence

By

"Fallour 4" has to be coming at some point, right? The last two games in the series, "Fallout 3" and "Fallout: New Vegas" were unbelievable hits for Bethesda. At some point, we'll be getting another installment.

Here's the latest rumor that's been floating around- "Fallout 4" will make an appearance at next year's E3, and afterwards will be given a Fall 2015 release date. This info comes by way of KpopStarz, who add that their release date scoop hasn't been officially confirmed, but is a likely option.

However, other recent rumors have been debunked. The Fuse Joplin claimed that the long-awaited sequel would be premiering at this months' PAX East expo, yet PAX East has come and gone (the convention ended on September 1), and here we are with no mention of another "Fallout" game.

The Fuse Joplin also claims that the game will be set in a post-apocalyptic Boston, and that the game will feature a new style (more steampunk), a new monstrous race, and will distance itself from a lot of the major details of "Fallout 3." The Brotherhood of Steel, the Super Mutants- all the elements that got a lot of attention last time around.

But given that their other speculations went belly-up, who knows how accurate these ones are.

Cinema Blend has a quote from Bethesda, regarding an upcoming mystery game that they're claiming is "Fallout 4." Here's the quote in question:

"Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio's full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet."

"Biggest and best" would well apply to the "Fallout" series, considering that the last project Bethesda sunk truckloads of time and energy into was "Skyrim," the latest in their other flagship series, "The Elder Scrolls."

Hopefully we'll be hearing about "Fallout 4" sooner rather than later.
