Ellen DeGeneres answered the continuing speculations about her marriage with Portia de Rossi on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." DeGeneres and de Rossi have been surrounded by divorce and cheating rumors for months, but according to DeGeneres, she remains happily married to de Rossi.
According to Big News Network, DeGeneres shared what she's been up to this past summer, saying: "I went on a trip with Portia, my beautiful wife-who I'm happy married to, but thank you for your heartfelt concern, tabloids. We went to France."
DeGeneres and de Rossi have been together since 2004, and the couple has been the target of divorce rumors. The latest rumors said that the two were patching up their marital problems despite having just celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary last August 16, adds Big News Network.
For their sixth wedding anniversary, de Rossi gifted DeGeneres with a message in the sky saying "Six," says NY Daily News, which DeGeneres seemed happy tweeting about. DeGeneres and de Rossi are known to give each other meaningful gifts. According to Yahoo Celebrity, DeGeneres gave de Rossi a custom-painted cello for her birthday after learning that she wanted to play it. DeGeneres gushed: "I fall more in love with Portia all the time."
In December 2013 last year, DeGeneres also used her show to answer divorce rumors about her relationship, shares Big News Network. That time the host found the rumors ridiculous and said that "there's not one ounce of truth" in them. "I am very happily married. In fact, the only thing we ever argue about is who loves who more," DeGeneres said last year. The comedian joked, "And we argue if we'd let a kangaroo carry us in a pouch for a year."
According to NY Daily News, back in July, a source talked to People saying that the two "worked out their difficulties in the past, and no doubt they're trying to work out any problems right now." The source also adds that de Rossi is very outspoken about the problems, while Yahoo Celebrity also quotes DeGeneres stating on her show that if there's anything for the viewers to know, she will announce it first.
