NBA 2014 Trade Rumors: League in hot pursuit of Zoran Dragic?; Mavericks, Spurs, and Heat in talks with the Slovenian guard

By

The Slovenian sensation Goran Dragic has made a name for himself in the NBA after becoming last season's Most Improved Player while leading a young Phoenix Suns team into playoff contention in the ver tough Western Conference. His brother Zoran, who plays alongside Goran in the Slovenian National Team in this year's FIBA World Cup tournament, may soon join him in the NBA, according to a report by ESPN's Marc Stein which reveals that multiple teams are currently in hot pursuit of the younger Dragic.

Citing league sources, Stein wrote, "The Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers are expressing the most serious interest in signing Slovenian guard Zoran Dragic... League sources told ESPN.com this week that talks regarding the NBA future of Dragic -- younger brother of Phoenix Suns star guard Goran Dragic -- are scheduled ‎to intensify this week now that Slovenia has been eliminated from the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup."

The Suns are reportedly interested in signing Zoran because it gives them a better chance of keeping his brother Goran Dragic when he becomes an unrestricted free agent next summer. With Bledsoe's contract negotiations already becoming a long nightmare, the Suns cannot afford the risk of losing both Bledsoe and Dragic and signing Zoran would allow them to have a better grip of his brother.

But the Suns, Kings, and Pacers are not only the teams that are interrested in signing the younger Dragic. The Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and a couple of Texas Power Houses in the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs are also reportedly in talks with Zoran this offseason per Real GM.

League insiders told the site, Behind a resurgent desire to pursue the NBA culminating in a successful World Cup showing, Slovenian shooting guard Zoran Dragic has maintained discussions with the four teams interested in signing him for next season: the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic."

With numerous teams expressing strong interrest for his services, Zoran Dragic may soon have his opportunity to play in the NBA. If he ends up with the Phoenix Suns, then we will witness the arrival of the Goran and Zoran Dragic show show in the NBA.
