Ahead of the return of the Winchester brothers on October 7 for Season 10 of "Supernatural," fans are anticipating the presence of Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard since being appointed as series regulars on on the show. However, a spokesperson for the show said that the actors, who play Castiel and Crowley in the show, will not be in the milestone-marking 200th episode.
"We can't give too much away about the 200th episode or the storylines leading up to it, but we can say that while Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard are not in the episode," the spokesperson told TVLine.
However, Castiel and Crowley's presence may still be felt in the episode. The spokesperson added, "They, and many other favorite characters from the past nine seasons, will be represented in a way that we think fans will love."
Screencrush retrieved an episode synopsis of at least Castiel's status in the upcoming season from The CW. It read, "Castiel has to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Metatron's campaign. With his grace failing and rogue angels still on the loose, Cass will face the ticking clock of his own mortality as all-new threats emerge to once again push all of our heroes to their limits."
The network also provided a synopsis of what would happen between the brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), and it was clear that Dean's resurrection as a demon will put his brother into danger. One of the series of photos taken from the set had Dean captured by a hunter named Cole (Travis Aaron Wade), the site said. Moreover, The Examiner recalled the show's sneak peek at this year's San Diego Comic-Con where the brothers are seen in the bunker, with the video ending with the brothers attacking one another.
"Supernatural" Season 10 premieres on October 7, Tuesday at 9PM.
