Jennifer Lawrence nude photo gallery cancelled; Google rejects Kate Upton naked images takedown request by boyfriend Jason Verlander?

Just over a week that it was announced that the leaked nude photos of celebrities were going to be put up for display in a gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida, the artist behind the exhibition has decided to pull all nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton. XVALA decided to take down the photos of the actresses supposedly because he had a "moral change of heart," The Independent reported.

The artist, who had originally planned to display the recently leaked nude photos of the Oscar winner and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model in the Corey Allen Contemporary Art (CACA) gallery, announced on the gallery's website that he will no longer be doing so not because of legal reasons. It could be recalled that lawyers of both celebrities have been working around the clock to ensure their leaked images are no longer republished for public viewing. On the other hand, XVALA revealed that he will still pursue with his exhibition and decided to use his own self-shot, life-sized nude images, which will be displayed next month.

The exhibit which was supposed to display the celebrity nudes, named "No Delete" and is a part of his 7 year "Fear Google" campaign, the Washington Post reported. The theme of the gallery is the artist's commentary of the lack of privacy in the modern digital age. The gallery also included various non-nude photos of other celebrities in vulnerable or private moments by paparazzi such as Britney Spears' shaved head incident and many more.

XVALA believed that using the images missed the point of his exhibition, and admitted that the photos were stolen property. He went on and said, "People were identifying with Jennifer Lawrence's and Kate Upton's victimization, much more than I had anticipated, which is powerfully persuasive."

In other related news, Upton's boyfriend, Detroit Tigers pitcher Jason Verlander, reportedly issued a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown request to Google to stop the search engine from displaying search results of Kate's nude photos. Torrentfreak.com observed that Google has only taken around half of the search results, based on the transparency report on Google's website. Google has yet to explain why this was the case.
