Listen, we all know Guns n' Roses hasn't been the same without Axl and Slash together in the same band. Sure, it's still called Guns n' Roses, and it's still got Axl Rose, but it's just not quite the same.
Well, now that's about to change. According to KpopStarz, a Guns n' Roses reunion may be in the works. According to their sources Slash was recently quoted as saying this:
"I have a lot less distractions - a lot less, unnecessary distractions - in the situation that I am in now. What I intended to do from the get go, was never really that complicated. But success and money and all that kind of stuff, it just makes life complicated."
Which many people took as a statement about a possible Guns n' Roses reunion (although... why? It's not like a stated it outright, and if he did, he was talking in the vaguest terms possible).
But, it turns out that this Axl/Slash reunion is nothing more than a hoax. KpopStarz claims that the hoax was just something circulating around the Internet.
Backing this up, here's a quote from the legendary guitarist, seen in KDrama Stars:
"Really the only people that obsess about Guns n' Roses is media. I think it's just lack of imagination. I'm an in-the-moment person. I don't look too far in the future and I definitely don't draw on past stuff. Whatever it is that you're doing right this second, just do that and do the best you can at it. And just keep pushing forward, always forward."
Plus, it's not like Slash is out touring all the time- you might think that, but he's less of a partier than you might think. Here's what he recently told The Huffington Post:
"I'm a homebody," said Slash. "I don't want to hang out on the road." Playing six shows a week, each in a different city, makes spending time with family difficult, but Slash declared, "you have to just make it work."
Check back soon for the latest "Guns n' Roses"- maybe next time, the reunion won't be made up.
