On Season 4, she needs to take the full responsibility of being a mother to her daughter, in which she could not as she goes to different countries in Great Middle East. She may feel homesick, but this could give her an inspiration to bring justice from a havoc featured on the first promotional video Showtime uploaded.
Meanwhile, a CIA operative and former gunman Peter Quinn (played by Ruper Friend) is set to become a part of Carrie's journey as he sees himself on her ventures. "Quinn is eager to get out of the [espionage] business and is recognizing behavior in Carrie that he himself has had in the past as an assassin, and he's concerned for her. So he trying to jar her into 'consciousness,' but she's reluctant to engage," Claire Danes, herself, tells TV Line.
