"Once Upon A Time" cast share hints on how season 4 will go for their characters, answering some of the non-Frozen related questions commonly asked around during the show's absence.
On the Captain Hook-Emma Swan relationship, Colin O'Donoghue (Captain Hook) said that Hook will be doing anything to "make the relationship work," even if it means doing something bad, says The Hollywood Reporter. Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) further added that both want to "be better versions of themselves and vulnerable enough to be close to someone romantically." Morrison also hints that the relationship will be worked out while other things are happening, including the appearance of "Frozen" characters in Storybrooke.
Also according to The Hollywood Reporter, Robin Hood and Regina's third party in the form of Hood's supposedly dead wife, Marian, will be addressed head-on. According to Sean Maguire, a truce will be achieved. MTV also hints that a decision will be made pretty soon, but this will apparently lead to a big story arc.
While having to deal with a third party to her budding romance with Hood, Lana Parilla's character, Regina Mills will be having a good-versus-evil dilemma. "She's been on the road to redemption for the last couple of years and she's been evil for most of her life," Parilla shared about her character. The outcome of her dilemma will tell viewers her next move in the show, Parilla hints.
Part of Parilla's struggle between good and evil will be seen with her trying to seek revenge on Marian, adds The Hollywood Reporter. MTV says that Swan's action to free Marian in season 3 will "render her already tedious relationship with Regina more fragile than ever." However, Swan will not let Mills' vengeance get the better of her and apparently wants the evil queen to know that they are truly friends.
While all of the main characters in "Once Upon a Time" are facing problems from where season 3 left them off, another character that has previously made a cameo in Storybrooke will have an interesting storyline ahead. Will Scarlet, played by Michael Socha, will be making his debut in the show. Co-creator Eddy Kitsis hints that Scarlet will be connected to someone from season one.
When the show returns for its fourth season on September 28, it will be focusing on "Frozen," shares IB Times. The premiere episode, which is titled "A Tale of Two Sisters," will follow Elsa as she finds herself in Storybrooke branded a threat.
According to the article, the episode will also show a newlywed Belle and Rumplestiltskin.
