Katy Perry and rumored new boyfriend DJ Diplo were seen in Las Vegas together, but Perry was there for fun and Diplo was there for work. Meanwhile, the singer's ex-boyfriend, John Mayer, seems to have his eyes on someone else.
Mayer is just a lesson Perry has learned, as Enstarz reports the singer being in Las Vegas with her rumored new beau, DJ Diplo. While the DJ "did his thing," Perry was allegedly seated right next to him at a VIP table. The site also reports that Perry enjoyed herself some pizza and good time while at the club, eventually leaving as Diplo finished up.
Radar Online shares that Perry and Diplo arrived around 1 am, with Diplo immediately taking the decks. Perry was reported to have left around 3:15 am.
Perry has been busy with her career, and aside from rumors about her dating life, the singer is reported to be single. This is no coincidence though. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Perry shared that she had started doing therapy after a divorce with Russell Brand in 2012 and breaking up with Mayer this year. According to the singer, she needed to take care of herself before others. "If you don't have foundation for self-love first, you really have nowhere to pull love from to give it away," says Perry in the interview.
Perry also opened up about the kind of person she is looking for right now. She lists sense of humor, sensitivity, love and understanding of music, and intelligence as her criteria for a man now that she has "less time for bullshit." Though there is no proof that Diplo fits Perry's checklist, his work involves music, which could be a good start. "I'm looking for someone who's inspired and could be inspiring with me," Perry said.
While Perry seems to be looking for someone to have a serious relationship with, ex-boyfriend John Mayer is on the prowl, and he has a target, says Hollywood Life. Mayer is allegedly looking to romance Jennifer Lawrence despite rumors that Lawrence is dating another music man, Chris Martin of Coldplay.
"John has had a thing for Jennifer for quite some time now and he's still trying to romance her despite her involvement with Chris," Hollywood Life's source said. The source also said that Mayer had dinner with Lawrence at Cecconi's in West Hollywood last August 29.
