'Terminator 5' star Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to tap Dwayne Johnson as his replacement in next sequel? 'Genisys' to introduce two tv Doctors, a GI Joe [Spoilers]

Is Arnold Schwarzenegger retiring his famous cinematic robot persona for good? This was suggested when the Austrian and the former governor of California shared his appreciation for the former wrestling champ's latest movie "Hercules," KPopstarz reported.

In Johnson's recent Reddit Ask me Anything (AMA) session, fans were thrilled when Arnold decided to crash by writing, ""I just came here to congratulate Dwayne, but you just gave me a great idea for a movie. I would love to do a movie with Dwayne - the Oak and the Rock - it couldn't be more perfect. Anyway, congratulations Dwayne. The movie looks fantastic and I can tell you know what's best in life. Let's get together soon and share sword stories."

Johnson wrote back and said, ""Awesome, look forward to swappin' sword stories."

Complex noted that both Schwarzenegger and Johnson played Conan the Barbarian, obviously because of their muscular physiques. Although it would be odd to think about robots or people in future digital armageddon cities brandishing swords against their enemies, it might not be too long for both to work together on a film project, most likely a sequel to "The Expendables."

When another Reddit user asked Johnson what role would he play in the action sequel, he answered, "If you're asking if I would consider being in the EXPENDABLES franchise - then the answer is yes. BUT.. I don't want to be on their team and be buddies with them. F*ck that noise. I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to "send your soul to heaven cause your ass is mine." Rousey lives cause she'd be my characters training partner and (actor Terry) Crews lives as well cause my character would need someone to compete at pec popping with."

On the other hand, it has been observed that "Terminator: Genisys" will be introducing a new group of characters in the robot apocalypse storyline that might provide a new perspective on the franchise. Cinemablend has reported earlier that JK Simmons, who plays Dr. Emil Skoda on "Law & Order," has already signed up for the upcoming sequel. British actor Matt Smith, who has delighted audiences as the Young Doctor on "Doctor Who," is said to have officially boarded the film alongside Byung Hun Lee, who played Storm Shadow on the "GI Joe" film franchise. There is no word yet on what characters all three would play, but it has been believed that it might have to do with the demise of John Connor.
