A new audio clip has just snuck its way online, and it might have some big ramifications for the upcoming fifth "Terminator" film, "Terminator Genisys." According to The Terminator Fans, a recent Youtube video may contain our first hint of the soundtrack for "Terminator Genisys."
The video, seen below, is a mere twelve seconds long, and contains a man's voice talking over a small clip of music.
Notable is the style of the music in the clip- it's extremely digitized, and almost has a MIDI, 1980s synth quality to it. It's unclear if this is a particular creative direction that "Terminator Genisys" is pursuing, or if the music is actually unrelated to the film.
A comment from the user who uploaded the video explains just where the leak comes from: "A friend of mine who does sound production and lives in Hollywood sent it to me."
It's important to note that film scores are not usually written until the film has finished shooting, and "Terminator Genisys" has just finished shooting- which may prove that the audio is legitimate.
Enstars adds to the story, claiming the audio may be used for an action sequence set in a factory (presumably, a factory where Terminators are built, but you never know).
The story for "Terminator Genisys" is being kept under wraps, but right now we know that the film will involve two separate Terminators, both T-800 models (the robot Arnold Schwarzenegger is famous for playing). As well, Jason Clarke will star as John Connor and Emilia Clarke as his mother, Sarah Connor.
KpopStarz recently went live with a rumor that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson would be playing a Terminator in the proposed sequel to "Terminator Genisys." He's certainly a big enough guy to stand toe-to-toe with Schwarzenegger, but it remains to be seen if this is anything more than a rumor right now.
