Two products of Xiaomi are being compared to one another, and considering the specs, both are good options for someone who is looking for a handset that is not expensive and boats good performance.

Xiaomi, a brand that is known for their Chinese handsets, sells millions of handsets per year. This is not only because of their latest flagship phone, Xiaomi Mi4, but also because of Xiaomi Mi3, its predecessor that still earns tens of thousands, says KpopStarz. According to the site, "Mi3 has consistently broken sales records, selling as much as 100,000 units in as little as 10 minutes after they've been made available." Even in India, Xiaomi's Mi3 has been received quite well. The same is expected from Xiaomi Mi4, which has been released in July 22.

Considering that both brands rake in sales for the company also known as "Apple of China," it is only expected that they will be compared to one another. Potential buyers can decide on which of the two to get after inspecting their differences.

Xiaomi Mi4 has a 5-inch Full HD display boasting 1920x1080 pixel resolution, which is the same as that of Xiaomi Mi3. However, Mi3 is thinner and lighter than Mi4, shares KpopStarz. It is 0.32 inches thick and weighs 145 grams, while Mi4 is 0.35 inches thick and is four grams heavier. This small difference is quickly made up for the presence of dust-proof and waterproof capabilities for the Mi4.

Mi3's battery is a 3050mAh pack, while Mi4's is slightly bigger at 3080 mAh. As for the processor, Mi3 runs on 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, while Mi4 boasts of 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. Mi4 has 1GB of additional RAM from Mi3's 2GB. The base OS for both devices is Android 4.4 KitKat, with Mi4 having the latest MIUI 6 release already.

Also according to KpopStarz, both cameras have a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor, but the Mi4 has an 8-megapixel front camera that leaves Mi3's front camera behind.

According to IB Times, a 16GB Xiaomi Mi4 costs $439, which is a steal considering its specs. It is also less expensive than competitor Moto X 2014, which is priced at $499. Moto X's battery is also far from Mi4's at only 2300 mAh.

Xiaomi's high-end phones have taken the Chinese market, with sales even comparable to Apple. The release of iPhone 6 in China on October 17 may prove some competition, but with iPhone 6 having a price tag of around $650 for the 16GB model, Xiaomi's sales may not be affected, says Load the Game. As for the specs, iPhone 6 has a 4.7 inch LED-backlit IPS display ,which is smaller than Mi4's 4-inch display. Xiaomi Mi4 also boasts of 441 ppi pixel density, which makes iPhone 6's 326 ppi pixel density seem obsolete.
