Maksim Chmerkovskiy is not only a heartthrob in the dance floor, he also seems to be a woman magnet in real life as well. Maksim, who has bagged the championship title of the 18th season of "Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS) has been connected to several names, one of which is dancing partner Meryl Davis.
After the display of the undeniable chemistry between the pair during their run a partners, however, Maksim finally drew the line and put a stop in all the dating rumors. In an interview with People Magazine (via the Christian Post), the dancing pro shared how the professional athlete will always be a big part of his life, but that he loves her in a non-romantic way.
"I was dancing pro on the show for about a decade, and I needed the trophy to show for it. But Meryl was part of that. And while I am doing other things, Meryl is a close friend and has become very important in my life. We have new projects together."
This doesn't mean, however, that the dancing champ is not interested in women. In fact, Maksim openly admitted to The Epoch Times that he is "... a hopeless romantic who falls in lust and gets in trouble." He even proved how true he is to this description by describing his past relationship with dancing diva Jennifer Lopez as "great" where he definitely had "fun."
In other news, while he hasn't openly admitted that he is already in a relationship, the DWTS champion sent tongues wagging when he showed up with a date at the Alifat International Inc.'s Annual Global Literacy Dinner in Miami. The Examiner reports that the lady, who comes by the name Alina Kavall, was spotted with Maksim later in the evening getting cozy after the charity event.
