Former Girls' Generation memeber Jessica Jung sends her condolences to SM CEO Lee Soo Man; Launches new fashion brand BLANC & ECLARE

Despite the recent controversy involving Girls' Generation and SM Entertainment, the group's former member Jessica took to Weibo to send her condolences to SM CEO Lee Soo Man over the death of his wife, Koreaboo reports.

Jessica's message reads, "Please accept my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you, she will be greatly missed."

On October 4, it was belatedly reported that Kim Eun Jin, the CEO's wife died due to cancer. Reports suggest that she was already in a critical stage of her cancer when it was first found out in December 2012. She underwent chemotherapy and surgery before she passed away, KpopStarz reports.

Jessica has been aloof from the public since she released her statement regarding her being kicked out of Girls' Generation. Many commended Jessica's effort to send her condolences despite her current situation, Daily Kpop News reports.

Other K-pop idols under SM Entertainment also sent their condolences to Lee Soo Man. Victoria of f(x) took to Instagram to send a message that reads, "I am really saddened by the death of Lee Soo Man's wife. We will always be by your side, [teacher Lee Soo Man]. You are our stronghold and you have been like a father to us. We will come back after our concert." The post goes with a photo taken from SMTOWN in Japan.

Super Junior's Siwon and Kibum, as well as solo artist Zhan Liyin have also sent their condolences via social media.

Meanwhile, Jessica seems to be moving forward despite the controversy involving her, SM, and her former group Girls' Generation.

The K-pop star is reportedly gearing up to launch a new brand of her fashion line called BLANC & ECLARE.

The new brand was announced on the official website of BLANC on October 6. "In the coming weeks, we will be introducing new collections and partnership projects that showcase Jessica's unfolding vision for BLANC & ECLARE. Including new designs and projects that express our most closely held values, the next steps will set us up for what's to come in the life of our brand," a part of the press release reads.

Jessica Jung stated, "Although the unveiling of ECLARE was sooner than expected, I am proud to be taking BLANC & ECLARE to the next level. I am humbled by the overwhelming support this brand has received and I assure you that we will be diligent as we continually look to evolve and innovate."
