'Orange Is The New Black' Season 3 comes off with a new cast member joining the renowned Netflix production. What role will Academy Award-winning star Mary Steenburgen play?
There are several guesses of what roles will the 61-year old multi-awarded actress Mary Steenburgen land on the highly anticipated show. This includes the mother roles of Nicky, Pennsatucky, John Bennett, Big Boo, Brook Soso or Pornstache's.
"But his mother is making an appearance on Season 3. Mary Steenburgen has been cast as my mom. I'm not sure what she'll do that will advance the Pornstache plotline, but for now, Mendez is in prison, biding his time. Spoiler alert," Pablo Schreiber, who played Pornstache, said.
Meanwhile, ex-convict rapper Remy Ma has admitted her insights concerning the story arc and the environment on the award-winning Jenji Kohan series. She revealed that prisoners on the said show aren't too accurate on their portrayal; hence, this includes the series' setting.
"You have 900 women stuck in one place. Some of them are never gonna go home. It's a very angry environment at times. You know, there's people that just walk around all day miserable. Fights do happen. I've seen them my share of crazy fights," she dished.
It is nonetheless a good observation coming from an ex-convict, herself. In addition, she have told the press of her desire to be included on the show.
"I would actually like to be on the series. I think it'd probably give it a more realistic feel," she said.
Meanwhile, a week ago, cast members Samira Wiley, who plays Poussey Washington, and Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, have their photo uploaded on the official Instagram account of OINTB.
Both Prepon and Wiley have been promoted to series regular on the upcoming comeback together with Taylor Schilling (Piper Chapman), Michael Harney (Sam), Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes), Danielle Brooks (Taystee), Natasha Lyonne (Nicky), Taryn Manning (Pennsatucky), and more.
