'American Horror Story' Spoilers and Recap: Will Matt Bomer play an 'intersex' character on 'Freak Show'? Premiere impresses critics

By

The Season 4 premiere of "American Horror Story" had everyone on their toes last night. Comicbook.com reported that the Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk production kicked off "Freak Show" with the story of how conjoined sisters Bette and Dot (played beautifully by the wonderful Sarah Paulson) joined a reak show run by German expat Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange). From the scenes where Bette and Dot were introduced to the life of a "monster" to the scenes where a scary clown killer named Twisty (John Carroll Lynch) goes on a murder spree, the Guardian said that the season starter proved how Murphy is such an expert in beginnings.

It has been revealed earlier that the antagonist of the season is Twisty, and TVLine reported that the scary clown's back story will be revealed in Episode 4. Murphy said, "There's a big story that explains ... why he's doing what he's doing. (The episode is) somewhat based on an urban myth."

Murphy also teased to TVLine about "White Collar" star Matt Bomer's debut on the series, and his clues indicate that the actor's role in the show might change our image of him. Murphy explained to TVLine that Bomer would be in two episodes in the show, and will debut on Episode 5. Moreover, the "AHS" creator said that Bomer will have a seven-page encounter with Michael Chiklis of "The Shield" fame, who currently plays some sort of "strongest man" in the show. Bomer will also have a scene opposite "The Normal heart" star Finn Wittrock.

Bomer's character in the show has been one of the many explosive secrets waiting to be revealed as the series progresses. However, according to Murphy's hints and the show's creepy Main Titles teaser, Bomer might be playing a character that has an extra leg appendage where his private part should have been.
