A week ahead of its premiere, "American Horror Story" has released a new trailer for its fourth season, "Freak Show," leaving fans thrilled with terror while wanting for more of the FX's horror drama.
The teaser trailer, which exclusively premiered on Buzzfeed, shows the frightening story that the "Freak Show" will feature.
As the video shows, the people who are watching the 1950s-set freak show is not there for amusement, but only to stare at the "freaks," which include people with rare physical deformities and unique body forms.
The trailer also showed the return of the fan-favorite character, Pepper, played by Naomi Grossman, made her first appearance in "American Horror Story: Asylum", and is the only character featured in the horror drama's two seasons.
Another character which was shown in the trailer is the two-headed character of Sarah Paulson, named Bette and Dot. The conjoined twins appear to be the newest addition to the list of "freaks" in the show run by Jessica Lange's Elsa Mars.
And one of the most awaited characters, Twisty the Clown, appeared on the video's last few seconds. As mentioned by Perez Hilton, "And in the most chilling of endings, we receive a glimpse of Twisty the murderous clown - who creator Ryan Murphy says is the scariest jester character of all time!"
Other than Lange and Paulson, also returning this season are Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare, Jamie Brewer, and Evan Peters.
According to Dead Central, new additions to the cast include Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, John Carroll Lynch, Finn Wittrock, Matt Bomer, Patti LaBelle and Jyoti Amge.
"American Horror Story: Freak Show" will premiere on October 8 at 10:00 p.m. on FX. The pilot episode will run for 90 minutes.
