"Devious Maids" renews for third season composed of thirteen seasons. The highly anticipated ABC series has promoted Gilles Marini.
The 38-year old French-American star, who portrayed a role on "Sex and the City", was promoted as series regular on his portrayal of Sebastien, who joins show's love interest Roselyn Sanchez (who plays Carmen), as reported by Hollywood Reporter. He will join veterans Ana Ortiz (Suarez), Dania Ramirez (Falta), Judy Reyes (Zoile Diaz), Edy Ganem (Valentina Diaz), Rebecca Wisocky (Evelyn Powell), Tom Irwin (Adrian Powell), Drew Van Acker (Remi Delatour), Susan Lucci (Genevieve Delatour) and Grant Show (Spence Westmore).
Marini's character is set to bring back the intese romance between Carmen, whom he met at the bar. Both of the characters had sex on the second season's finale episode, where Sebastien admitted he is married with the executive.
Meanwhile, Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger on what to arise on Marisol's new love interest, Nicholas Deering (played by Mark Deklin). On TV Line, executive producer Sabrina Winds teases fans about Nicholas, who is currently eyed as a murderer. "I can't make any promises. With some characters, you can say, "Absolutely, that person is gone." Like Tony, for example, we have no intention of bringing back. But if we can find a way to bring back Nicholas and keep Mark Deklin on our show, we will do so," she admitted.
Wind, thereafter, dished that the fans' reaction on Nick's imprisonment has been too loud, hence, she believes Nick's presence is worth keeping for the show. "The audience really responded, as far as we can tell, to Nicholas and Mark. So if there's a way to keep him, we'll try and figure it out; on the other hand, he is a murderer," she stated.
Meanwhile, the showrunner teased that many scenes are about to be concluded on the upcoming season, particularly on who was shot during the previous season's finale episode. "The cast keeps joking that Pablo gets shot because he wasn't originally supposed to be in that scene," she laughed. "There was originally an extra scene written between Zoila and Pablo, and even though the scene was dropped, Pablo was still there. ... But in all truth, we've gone through almost every series regular and guest stars, and there are a lot of cool stories to be told."
Do you have any guesses on who was shot on the cliffhanger episode? What are your thoughts of the upcoming series comeback of "Devious Maids", which will slate its Season 3 soon? ABC Network has not announced the premiere date, however.
