Michael Muhney had admitted his control over his career, and he is now leaving from his five years of staying at CBS's "The Young and the Restless". What's next with him after his controversial announcement?
Muhney is currently working on four upcoming films and one of which is entitled "Search Engines," which its story plot revolves on a gay married man. "Straight? Gay? Labels. Pushing the limits filming my role in the new movie "Search Engines." Such a well-written/directed film. #inspired," the actor tweeted. In addition to this project, he also part of "Back to Christmas" film by ION.
Moreover, he gave hints of his upcoming roles. On Twitter, he said, "My latest film roles:1)The love interest & antagonist. 2)A married man in the closet, coming out. 3)A Redneck White Trash Pimp. #THESPIANism"
The 39-year old Chicago, Illinois-raised actor, meanwhile, revealed that he didn't plan of staying on a project for more than five consecutive years - pertaining to long-running identity of being Adam Newman.
"Just got an official call, although things got very close, I will not be returning to Y&R. That part of my life is over. Moving on..," he tweeted advising all of his fans.
"I was hopeful for a return, but now I'm hopeful for the future. Now you'll just have to promise to tune in to my future projects! #lovexo."
However, allegations that he had been fired from the soap opera because of his obnoxious attitude, that he had bullied and backstabbed his co-stars, surfaced after his announcement.
Thereafter, Muhney spoke to the press that these rumors were mere pointless allegations and that these were used to teardown his reputation.
"First of all, there is no one anywhere, of any official capacity, who ever made any of those allegations. If there were, I would be the first person to come out and say, 'Hey, now, I've got to take you to court because what you've just said is lies and I have to sue you for libel and slander,'" the actor reveals, reportedly.
"I remember sitting down in the final ten months of my tenure with the executive producer and saying: 'Things have to change. You guys are going to have to fire me or I'm going to have to quit.' I told them that several times."
