Is Porsha Williams leaving "The Real Housewives of Atlanta"? There have been speculation that the reality star is set to leave the show after getting into a huge blowout with castmate Kenya Moore during the show's reunion special. It has been widely reported that Williams has been demoted from a regular cast member to a recurring guest on the show after the fight with Moore.
Reality Tea had published a comment from the show's honcho and host Andy Cohen that is meant to silence rumors about Williams' departure. Speaking to his assistant Daryn, Cohen said about Williams' status in the show, "It had nothing to do with anything that happened at the reunion last season," Andy tells his assistant Daryn. "Really, it was about the amount of story we got from Porsha this season. We went into it assuming she would be a full Housewife, holding a peach. We just haven't gotten enough to merit that. She's going to be in it a lot. We love her. I hope she'll be on Bravo endlessly."
What does Moore say about Cohen's latest reaction? Moore has yet to comment, but Deadline Detroit noted that the star has opted instead to focus on her philanthropic pursuits. The site reported that the Detroit native has revealed plans to donate $20,000 to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation.
On the other hand, Williams' purported departure from the show has also spurred speculation that another cast member may follow suit. Hallels wrote that the show's longest-running and highest-paid series regular NeNe Leakes will mark Season 7 as her last appearance in the reality series due to her several career endeavors. The site also quoted Leakes' home network, who said "is juggling her time and focus among) several professional pursuits: she's starred in Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity, launched a clothing line, and is prepping for her Broadway debut in Cinderella."
