"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is set to premiere in less than a month, but it wouldn't be "Real Housewives" without undue amounts of drama, so here we go- NeNe Leakes has announced that season seven will be her last season on the show.
Examiner has the news- apparently, Leakes is being hounded with offers from the entertainment industry, to act and perform in other ventures. And now it seems like she's been tempted- because why stay on reality TV when the bigger glitz and glamor of Hollywood is calling?
As well, Examiner adds that there's a ton of drama on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" already- especially given Phaedra Parks, Apollo Nida and all the fraud/jail drama that constantly follows them around. With all this, Leakes may not feel like the most important part of the series, and that may make other offers that much more tempting.
Wet Paint has a recent quote from Leakes, about her recent feud with Cynthia Bailey and how it's affected her perception of the show.
"I love the show it has opened up many doors and opportunities for me, but sometimes I don't love all the fighting... that gets on my nerves. It really does get old. I don't want to go to work everyday and fight."
Leakes may be leaving "Real Housewives," but she's certainly going to stay around on TV for a while.
