"House of Cards" is one of the biggest series on Netflix, and the show's third season is eagerly awaited by huge hordes of Netflix fans.
And while we know little about the show's upcoming third season, a few new pieces of information have just come forward.
Most notably is the addition of actress Jenna Stern to the series. Christian Today reports that the actor, who previously played several roles on the series "Law & Order," was announced to have joined the series.
TV Line has more details on just who Stern will be playing- according to their sources, Stern will be an ambassador to the United Nations, and she'll be appearing in multiple episodes.
This is further proof of recent rumors that "House of Cards" will be going international in its third season, and that Frank Underwood will be trying to pull his usual tricks on politicians and leaders from other countries (like China, which was featured heavily last season).
Franchise Herald has another piece of casting news for the upcoming season of "House of Cards"- according to their sources, actress Kim Dickens is also joining the series for its third season.
However, we know far less about Dickens' role than we do about Sterns. No information on Dickens' character or the amount of episodes she'll be in is currently available (although we'll certainly find that out the closer we get to "House of Cards'" third season premiere).
Dickens is on a huge roll right now- her last film role was in "Gone Girl," which ruled the box office and is likely to gain a lot of ground come award season. Presumably, she'll have just as juicy a part in "House of Cards" (which is why we haven't learned anything about that part yet).
Check back soon for the latest news on "House of Cards" and its third season.
