What's next for "House of Cards?" That's the question on the minds of everyone tuning in to watch the hit Netflix political drama.
The end of season one saw Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, ascend to the Vice Presidency of the United States. The end of season two saw him become President. Unless season three decides to have Underwood campaign as Supreme Ruler of Earth, there's nowhere else for Underwood to go (well, except down... but let's hope that doesn't happen).
Enstars recently published a piece speculating that the third season will focus on foregin affairs. Which would make sense, given that it's been revealed that the members of Pussy Riot, the band recently imprisoned for supposed hooliganism and religious crimes, will be playing a part on the next season of "House of Cards."
As well, Enstars adds that Netflix recently tried to shoot a few scenes of "House of Cards" at the UN Embassy, and Russia denied them the access, which may or may not be motivated by the new alliance between Pussy Riot and "House of Cards."
The Wall Street Journal spoke to Pussy Riot about their involvement with "House of Cards," who stated the following:
"It's important for us to meet people who are doing political cinema in the U.S. because in Russia, it doesn't exist, and we want to know how it happens."
As well, another member of the band stated, "It's not a question of what do they want, but what we want from them. And we want to learn how to do a political movie. This is our main agenda right now."
The Hill recently spoke to Beau Willimon, creator of "House of Cards" (the US version, at least- not the British one) but Willimon refused to share any details. For now, we'll have to guess based on the evidence we have. And given that evidence, foreign affairs seems like a solid guess.
