EXO is rumored to be making a comeback before the year ends, however, nothing is confirmed yet. To tide over EXO fans, here are some recent news and updates on SM's widely followed 10-member male group.
EXO-K's Suho, Baekhyun and Chanyeol are recently revealed to be attending Kyunghee Cyber University. Daily Kpop News reports that the three members are reportedly enrolled in the university's Culture and Arts Department of Business Administration.
Chanyeol and Beakhyun, who are the same age, were admitted into the university department in 2012. The group's leader, Suho, dropped out of Korea National University of Arts in 2009. He enrolled at the same time as the two fellow idols in Kyunghee Cyber University.
A music industry insider explained, "In the case of popular and busy idol groups like EXO, it's difficult to handle both school and schedules, so they choose to study in cyber universities."
Meanwhile, Chanyeol recently had a photo shoot for the November issue of "The Celebrity" where he was styled as a DJ, Allkpop reports. The idol shared, "The charm of DJing is that you get to mix music and make new music from it. I also can't leave out the thrill of making the crowd go wild."
The idol was joined by his label mate Shim Jae Won of BeatBurger for a portion of the photo shoot. Shim Jae Won said, "Since Chanyeol has been playing instruments since he was little, his understanding of music is high and he is filled with curiosity for it. He is not hesitant to learn new things, and is a quick learner. Now he is trying to get comfortable with DJing as a hobby."
Meanwhile, in other news, EXO-M's Tao addresses the series of hateful messages EXO has been receiving from Chinese fans, says another report by Daily Kpop News.
Fellow member Sehun recently created a Weibo account but it was immediately flocked with negative messages from Chinese fans. Tao came to the rescue posting a message on his Weibo, saying "Sehun creating a Weibo account is something to be happy about, isn't it? If you like him, follow him but if not, then don't send hateful comments to him. You guys are EXO-Ls, why are you doing this?"
Sehun was even surprised as he wrote, "What's going on? Please stop it...just we are one! I love you all!"
Tao himself posted a message for his own haters, "To everyone who say something bad about me, you can do whatever you want. Making fake stories, I don't care any of that. But don't talk maliciously about my family, my members, and fans who love us."
