Is Psy releasing a new album before the year ends?

A lot of fans are wondering whether internationally popular South Korean artist Psy will be releasing a new album this year. While it was rumored last summer that he will have release a new one, there are no news yet as to whether the pop star will be having a comeback.

However, many are still looking into the possibility that Psy might release an album before the year ends, KpopStars reports via Psysworld.

According to the website, an official commented on October 21, that the artist is "currently in a ready to state" to release a new album anytime he wishes to do so. Psy has already recorded various tracks and has reportedly decided to go for "Daddy" as the title song.

The website also reported that Psy has finished filming a music video, which features 2NE1's CL and actor Jung Woo Sung. The track's music video was shot at a water park and beach and was supposed to be a fun summer song.

But with fall and winter coming, it seems that Psy may be pushing back his comeback date.

According to the same report, the phenomenal South Korean artist is also having a concert scheduled around the Christmas season. Some speculate that Psy might be releasing something before his concert so that fans can see him perform new songs.

Psy's "Hangover" was released a few months ago and featured American rapper Snoop Dogg. The track's music video ended hinting about "Daddy" which was initially thought to have a summer release.

Meanwhile, last month, the South Korean singer was speculated to be moving to China with his family (wife Yoo Hye Yon and twin daughters). This was after he was frequently spotted in Shanghai. A resident in the city was quoted by Korea Herald saying, "Psy and his family often appear in Shanghai, so there was a rumor that they may move here."

Another local was quoted saying, "Actually, he hasn't moved here, at least, yet. I heard that he occasionally came to China to learn the culture and language. Even his children have been with him learning Chinese."
