Thinking about spending Halloween night inside watching TV and not trick-or-treating? Let's face it- we're probably a little too old to dress up and still get candy.
But that's what TV is for- thankfully, tons of networks are offering Halloween specials from now until the 31st.
Enstars has news on ABC's Halloween programming- which, apparently, starts with a Halloween "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday, October 27, and then a full block of Halloween comedy on Wednesday the 29th, featuring four series, "The MIddle," "The Goldbergs," "Modern Family" and "black-ish." All four will have special Halloween programming on that night.
FX will also be premiering a special Halloween edition of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" (isn't that show scary enough as it is?) that same week.
International Business Times has the next few days covered- apparently, on Thursday the 30th, a single day before Halloween, ABC will be airing a few classic Halloween specials- "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown."
Sadly, if you're looking to watch something on Halloween night, your choices are a little limited- a Halloween-themed "Cristela" and a spooky edition of "Jimmy Kimmel Live." And not much else.
Or if primetime TV isn't your thing, TechTimes has a list of all the best TV to stream on Netflix while the kids are out trick 'r treating and the slightly older kids are egging houses and setting off car alarms.
Some highlights from their list include Halloween-themed episodes of "30 Rock," "American Horror Story," "Angel," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Bob's "Burgers" and a couple choice episodes of "Goosebumps."
Although, in all honesty, basically any episode of "Goosebumps" would work just fine on Halloween. That show had the "dark and scary" thing going on in basically every episode.
Check back soon for more news on upcoming Halloween specials.
