"Crimson Peak" Is "Looking Good," According to Director Guillermo del Toro- When Will We See a Trailer?

By

"Crimson Peak" is still a ways away from releasing in theaters- the Guillermo del Toro-directed horror film has a release date of October 16, 2015. But that doesn't mean we need to wait around in the dark for footage of the upcoming horror film- and speculation has already begun that a trailer is on the way.

Fashion & Style has the news- apparently, they're claiming that the film is far enough along that we should be getting a trailer soon. However, there's not much more to offer than that. Most of Fashion & Style's piece is mere speculation.

The film is progressing nicely though- according to I Am Rogue, del Toro is extremely satisfied with the progress on the film, saying: "It's looking good. We had a screening with about twenty percent of the effects and it went great. Then I changed it a lot and we're going to have another one."

And technically, "Crimson Peak" was already shown at this year's Comic Con in the form of a teaser trailer, so del Toro could easily repackage that trailer and show it in theaters before one of this fall's bigger blockbusters.

Screen Rant has a description of what that trailer looks like- apparently, it's composed mostly of images from the film's haunted house, while star Tom Hiddleston says the following line in voiceover:

"A house as old as this one becomes, in time, a living thing... Sitting here all alone, it can go slowly mad."

The trailer ends with a shot of Mia Wasikowska, sitting alone and crying as a ghostly black-tinged hand reaches out over her shoulder.

Sounds pretty freaky to us. And with all this in mind, a trailer for "Crimson Peak" is probably heading our way before we know it.

Check back soon for the latest news on "Crimson Peak."
