"The Big Bang Theory" season 8 moved to Thursday timeslot and features conflict between Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki). Meanwhile, a new pairing is explored courtesy of Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) spending time together. Guest star Kara Luiz also joins the show for episode 7.
In the latest episode of "Big Bang Theory" entitled "The Expedition Approximation," fans of the show saw a pairing that isn't often seen on screen. According to Den of Geek, Sheldon and Raj "decide to do a trial simulation of what dark matter research down a salt mine might feel like." In the episode, it was shown that Sheldon has a respect towards Raj that he doesn't easily show to Leonard or Howard (Simon Helberg). The article says that Sheldon, who has been slowly showing moments of vulnerability with Amy (Mayim Bialik) or Leonard, was surprising in that he let his guard down. "Admitting he is scared of starting over with a new field of study while simply with Raj was a rare moment of genuine friendship between two different members of the group," shares the article.
Sheldon and Raj's pairing in the episode doesn't seem to be the only change happening in the show, as IB Times reports "The Big Bang Theory" meeting its end. This isn't to say that the show is over, of course. The teaser was only to make fans aware that the show will be moved to Thursdays.
The show's seventh episode, "The Prom Equivalency," will be aired on October 30, 2014, Tuesday, shares IB Times. In the episode, the characters of the show will relive their prom where Penny is apparently the only one with good memories, having attended seven proms in high school. Guest star Kara Luiz will be making an appearance as Howard's cousin, Jeanie, who he lost his virginity to.
Several conflicts are also starting to be seen in the show, with Howard and Bernadette having a fight triggered by Penny and Leonard's misunderstandings. Penny's character has undergone several changes in the season, the most notable of which is that she now apparently earns more than Leonard does. Along with her new job, she is seen wearing new clothes and sporting a new haircut. Actor Cuoco-Sweeting shares with People that ten inches of her hair had been cut.
According to KDramaStars, Cuoco-Sweeting was recently seen showing off his pixie cut styled in a pompadour for the ASPCA cocktail party held in Los Angeles where the star was in attendance with husband Ryan Sweeting.
