Is Angela Bassett's character next on Twisty's list? This has been been suggested after the actress told a publication that she doesn't want to really sing in the show.
Bassett, who plays the three-breasted woman named Desiree, told HuffPost Live that if anything, she'd rather not do a musical number like what co-star Jessica Lange has already done for "American Horror Story." She said, "I hope I can dodge that bullet. But if anyone was going to, it'd probably be Desiree."
Bassett had been a force to reckon with in the series when her witch character in "Coven" had her butting heads with Lange and the legendary Kathy Bates. The actress said that she might have an opportunity to do a little bit of clashing with the two's characters in the show this season, albeit a little.
She also teased her character's future this season and added, "I'm just up to Episode 9 and it's getting good now. But what happens after that, I don't know."
On the other hand, Hollywood Life is suggesting that creator Ryan Murphy might pull of a shocker and have Lange instead on the chopping block. This made sense considering that Lange is thought to be leaving the series for good.
Meanwhile, Naomi Grossman opened up about her creepy transformation from a brunette beauty to the ugliest person on TV. Grossman plays Pepper, microcephalic woman with gremlin-like features. Grossman is not stranger to "AHS," Salon.com observed. Her character was first introduced in "Asylum."
Grossman told the site that despite the fact that her co-stars have already acknowledged the creepy factor while working on "Freak Show," she said that she does not share the same experience. She explained, "It's funny, I must have a high threshold because I don't find it that scary. Maybe because I see through the smoke and mirrors? Because I know there's a guy pulling a cable an inch off what you're seeing on screen? ...But I guess when they add music and cut it all together, they drastically increase the scare-factor."
"American Horror Story: Freak Show" is shown on Wednesday on FX at 10PM ET.
