"Dance Moms" Star Maddie Ziegler Spoofed on "Saturday Night Live," Abby Lee Miller Blasted With Charges of Assault

By

Strange things are afoot in "Dance Moms." Star and notoriously furious dance instructor Abby Lee Miller is still dealing with that whole "assualt lawsuit" thing (which we know of thanks to E!), where a student alleged that Miller shoved, grabbed, pinched and threw chairs at her students.

Mother Kelly Hyland and dancing daughter Paige Hyland are asserting that Miller is "paid to be abusive and bullying to her students and provoke arguments with the mothers in front of the children."

No new word on how that's playing out, but presumably it's not looking good for either Miller or LIfetime- there's plenty of video footage of Miller in a screaming rage on "Dance Moms," and even more bad public image for her furious persona.

Yet on the opposite end, "Dance Moms" student Maddie Ziegler is rapidly climing the ladder towards fame. The latest rung? Being spoofed on "Saturday Night Live." International Business Times reports that in a recent sketch, cast member Kate McKinnon and guest Jim Carrey dressed up in Zielger's costume from Sia's "Chandelier" video, and did her signature dance moves.

Ziegler was overjoyed to see the sketch, Tweeting: "Can't stop laughing at the Chandelier spoof you did @JimCarrey ,Kate McKinnon, and @IGGYAZALEA"

And if Ziegler is a fan of Abigail Breslin (star of "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Zombieland"), she'll be pleased to know that Breslin is an obsessive "Dance Moms" fan, telling Stylecaster:

"I love it so much, I get so addicted to every single episode, and have to sit there, think about what is actually happening, and I cry. One episode gave me so much anxiety that I actually threw up. That is probably over-sharing, but it really gave me a lot of anxiety. The mom drama is probably my favorite part."
