Aaron Hernandez to have another pre-trial in November, double murder trial scheduled in May; Girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins also faces perjury charges after being denied case dismissal

Aaron Hernandez is scheduled for another pre-trial on November 25 after his lawyers talked on Tuesday at the Suffolk Superior Court. His trial for the murders of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado is set for May, ad his trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd is set in January.

In WCVB's report, it's been revealed that Hernandez' lawyer met with prosecutors and Judge Jeffrey Locke for a court appearance on Tuesday. The brief court meeting consisting mostly of talking at the Judge's bench, was held at Suffolk Superior Court and was held in relation with Hernandez' double murder charges. The former New England Patriots player is charged for the killing of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in 2012 after the two allegedly spilled a drink on Hernandez at a nightclub in Boston. Following the encounter at the nightclub, Hernandez allegedly followed de Abreu and Furtado and "fired at least five shots into the car while it was stopped at a red light, killing the two men and injuring a third," relays WCVB.

Aside from two murder charges, Hernandez is also has a separate trial in January for the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd. The victim was a 27-year-old "semiprofessional football player whose body was found in an industrial park about a mile from Hernandez' North Attleborough home."

Sports World News clarifies that Hernandez wasn't initially charged for the double murder in 2012 until after Lloyd's death. This is because according to the article, "Some authorities have said Hernandez shot Lloyd because he had information pertaining to Hernandez' role in the 2012 drive by and wanted him silenced."

Hernandez had entered a not guilty plea to all charges, Sports World News notes.

Hernandez, who has been moved to Nashua Street Jail to be closer to his legal team, stayed previously in Bristol County Jail. While there, Hernandez purportedly attacked another inmate and threatened an officer.

According to Boston Globe, Hernandez' girlfriend is also facing perjury cases related to Lloyd's murder. The motion for the dismissal of perjury cases against Shayanna Jenkins has been denied by Bristol Superior Court Judge E. Susan Garsh despite Jenkins' allegations that she was targeted by attorney C. Samuel Sutter "whose prosecutors violated long-standing legal practice."
