Kate Gosselin has been reunited with her ex-husband Jon Gosselin for a yard sale held on Saturday despite disagreements. The family event was held at St. John's United Church of Christ and had been attended by an almost unrecognizable Kate.
According to Us Weekly, controversial star Kate Gosselin sported long, ironed hair and minimal makeup on October 25 for the family yard sale. The mother of 8 is reported to have been supervising her children as they sold books, clothes, appliances, and other family possessions. She was also seen snapping at Jon, who the article says looked sentimental when checking out the family items left for sale.
Though the event happened on Saturday, it will be available for viewers on December as it airs on TLC. The channel had specifically wanted the sale filmed as part of "Kate Plus 8."
Kate's yard sale has not been met with encouragements, as according to Classicalite, it "struck many as odd, considering Kate garnered a great deal of negative press in the press for selling her children's things instead of donating them to charity." However, the site noted that a portion of the income from the sale will allegedly be for charity. Kate confirmed on Twitter that the family yard sale was a success. In her post, she mentions that she "raised tons of $ for ARL Berks County."
Kate and Jon are both reported to be dealing with bankruptcy after their marriage ended. As Classicalite describes, "The duo were once one of the most popular couples on reality TV, but that all changed when their marriage fell apart." Just recently, Jon has allegedly been thrown out of his home.
While some are speculating that the former duo are both bankrupt, Inquisitr thinks that Kate might not be strapped for cash just yet. This is because Kate has just signed up for a TV series that will earn her $40,000 per episode, shares a different Inquisitr article. The TV series is something that Kate cannot turn down as according to the insider, "She loves doing TV, and it's basically her only source of income."
