Rumors have been flying like crazy that this year's seventh season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" would be the last for NeNe Leakes. And that may well be the case, because the reality star-turned-actor-turned-producer-turned-reality-star has not been particularly positive about her first TV gig, recently.
First comes a tweet from the star that may point to her quitting "The Real Housewives." On October 25, the Leakes tweeted out the following message:
"Growth is a beautiful thing! Know when to get off a sinking ship"
And while that doesn't reference "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" specifically, many have taken to thinking that it's her way of casting off the show without actually calling it out specifically.
As well, Celeb Dirty Laundry has a follow-up tweet:
"Removin URself from situations that cause u 2 cope n unhealthy ways is the first step n realizin U r worth it! #motivationalmonday."
Celeb Dirty Laundry, meanwhile, thinks these tweets are obvious jabs at "The Real Housewives," and speculates that Leakes might not even last the entire seventh season- she may jump ship long before then.
Speaking of which, Leakes recently quit out of a planned "Real Housewives" trip to the Phillipines, as reported by TMZ. Technically, she had a reason (an incredibly important reason)- getting to the Phillipines would have involved a 20 hour flight, and Leakes has had a long history of issues with blood clots around her lungs. Medically, flying long-distance can cause severe problems for those with blood clots and could even have been fatal.
So yes, Leakes probably would have tapped out of the Philippines trip even if she was fully committed to season seven of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and beyond. But from everything else going on, don't expect her to last that much longer.
