Why iPhone 6 Can Beat Sony Xperia, HTC One and Samsung Galaxy Series

Apple has been reaping the benefits of the iPhone 6 challenging most of its competitors to replicate the same successes. However, analysts believe that Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia and HTC One series may have some cleaning up to do before they can nudge Apple off the position.

Apple's iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus continue to see a surge in demand and sales. Meanwhile, Android competitors like Samsung continue to go downhill. According to the Motley Fool, the problem with Android competitors exists more within their houses rather across the Android platform. The report further noted that Android phones and their case against Apple always have something to do with low demand and aggressive competition in developed markets.

The report also noted that many investors do not realize that the problem with these manufacturers is in-house fragmentation. This is on top of the existing fragmentation issues that Google is dealing with its mobile OS. For instance, Samsung, HTC and Sony have launched so many versions of their Galaxy, One and Xperia devices. Keeping track of all the devices remains a challenge. This also confuses the consumers.

For instance, Apple focuses only on its iPhone series. It has limited the choices to just two for its iPhone 6 series. Samsung Galaxy S5, on other hand, has seven versions at present with Galaxy Note 4 with two, Sony Xperia on 26 and HTC One with eight six more for its Desire line. Even China's emerging powerhouse, Xiamo, knows too many can be detrimental. It has limited its devices to four lines: Mi3, Mi4, Redmi 1s and Redmi Note.

According to Seeking Alpha, Apple stands to gain more in China the country will likely purchase many of the iPhone 6 units for the higher margin. To further emphasize, Apple's successful business model, the company October 17 launch in China met with high demand. It has reportedly urged Apple to consider paying Foxconn extra for faster production. Digitimes noted that Foxconn gets as much as $20 for every iPhone 6 created.

Chinese customers are very particular with status symbols. Android has a mix of low end and high end phones that consumers will not likely want to share the same brand with low end devices unlike Apple which kept its focus on the premium market.
