Controversial f(x) member Sulli attended the press conference of her movie "Fashion King." This makes her first public appearance after her hiatus and the news of her relationship with Dynamic Duo's Choiza, Allkpop reports.

While many people doubted that she would attend the event, the controversial idol showed up on October 31 and talked about her character in the upcoming movie.

"The ugly image of my character Eun Jin is similar to how I look these days at home. There's not much difference between us," said Sulli.

"Eun Jin puts school before her looks, and I tried to act in a way that showed Eun Jin's truth. I'm not sure how people who see the movie will take it," the f(x) member added.

Back in July, it was reported that the SM Entertainment's artist had to take a break from her activities, including the promotions of her group's "Red Light." This was after the confirmation of her and Choiza's relationship made headlines.

According to SM, the star needed to take a break as she was mentally and physically exhausted due to malicious comments and rumors.

Enews World reported that one of the staff from the movie told Newsen, "Including her affection about the movie, Sulli is very determined to attend this important event to introduce 'Fashion King' for the first time."

The staff added, "Sulli, as well as the other actors and director will attend the previews."

"Fashion King" is the movie adaptation of a popular webtoon in South Korea. The movie is about a high school student named Woo Ki Young (Joo Won), who became determined to become a cool man after he was introduced to the fashion world by his mentor.

Sulli's character, Eun Jin, harbors a secret crush on Woo Ki Young.

"Fashion King" is scheduled to hit the theaters on November 6.

Meanwhile, f(x)'s fans seemed disappointed after the female idol group was not include in any of the nominations for the award categories in the upcoming 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).

In other news, fellow member Amber will be joining label mate Zhoumi in his performances for "Rewind" in several music shows this weekend.
