‘Music Bank in Mexico’ has to stop show’s recording at one point as overexcited fans throw underwear at EXO and B.A.P

The filming of KBS 2TV's "Music Bank in Mexico" on October 30 was attended by 12,000 K-pop fans. But it was not the number of fans that surprised the idols who performed, but their unexpected behavior as the artists performed on stage.

The production had to pause filming at some point as overexcited fans started throwing their undergarments on stage, especially during the performance of EXO-K and B.A.P, Allkpop reports.

Fans on the floor level of the Mexico City Arena, where the "Music Bank in Mexico" special was filmed, threw their underwear during B.A.P's "One Shot" and EXO-K's "Growl" performances.

As fans continued to bother the artists on stage due to their inappropriate behavior, organizers temporarily stopped recording and told the fans to refrain from doing so. When SM Entertainment's megagroup, EXO-K, exited the stage, the light was dimmed and the organizers announced that the filming will not proceed if the fans will not stop flinging their undergarments.

According to Soompi, a representative from the show said, "Please calm down and refrain from throwing your undergarments."

The show was hosted by EXO-K's Chanyeol, BEAST's Doojoon, and INFINITE's Sunggyu. Other than EXO-K and B.A.P, other idols who performed include BEAST, INFINITE, Girl's Day, Ailee, and BTS.

After the show's filming, an EXO-K member was quoted saying, "Although there were some fans who got a little too excited, it was heartwarming to see fans link arms in attempts to form a barricade to control the chaotic situation."

The TV show special will be aired sometime this month.

Meanwhile, EXO is receiving impressive support from their fans as they lead the current ranking in some of MAMA 2014's award categories such as "Best Dance Performance Male Group," "UnionPay Artist of the Year," and UnionPay Song of the Year."

B.A.P, on the other hand, was recently included in the "Worldwide Act" finalists for MTV EMA. The idol group will be representing Korea and Japan, and will be competing against other global acts such as One Direction.
