'Fashion King' director and cast praise f(x)’s Sulli for her beauty; Idol makes her first public appearance after hiatus

The press conference of upcoming South Korean movie "Fashion King" was held on October 31st. it was attended by the main cast of the movie, including Joo Won, An Jae Hyun, Park Se Young, Kim Sung Oh, and f(x)'s Sulli, who made her first public appearance after her controversial hiatus in July.

Sulli spoke about her character and the experience she got working on the film.

The movie's director, Oh Ki Wan, was also present in the event, Daily Kpop News reports. He was the one behind other notable movies such as "Present," "Art of Seduction," and "Someone Behind You."

During the press conference, Oh Ki Wan praised Sulli for her beauty, saying, "I worked with the best beauties in Korea, Lee Young Ae and Son Ye Jin, but I think Sulli is the best."

"I am glad to work with the best beauty in Korea, Sulli. I want to work with her in a next project," he added.

The positive remarks came after Sulli revealed that she needed to look ugly for her role in the movie. The f(x) member played Eun Jin, who is the smartest but ugliest student in the school.

Allkpop reported that even Sulli's co-stars complimented the idol's beauty. Joo Won and Ahn Jae Hyun said, "No matter how ugly Sulli came out, she was still pretty."

"The makeup artists would muss up her hair even more. There was one scene on the playing field and as I was monitoring it, I was really surprised to see Sulli appear. I thought, 'Can she come out like that?' I was really surprised because she came out [with her image] ruined," Joo Won added.

Sulli, meanwhile, related the character t herself. "Eun Jin is similar to me when I'm at home," said the idol-actress.

"Fashion King" revolves around the story of Woo Ki Myung, played by Joo Won. His character, who started as a bread delivery boy decides to become the most fashionable man in the world. Sulli's character Eun Jin will eventually change her style to impress him.

The movie is slated to hit the theaters on November 6.
