SM Entertainment's popular male megagroup EXO spoke about their feelings about the ending of their program "EXO 90:2014," Kpopstars reports.
"We will try our best to become wannabe artists like those who joined us for our program," the idol group revealed through the show's staff on October 31. The show featured some of the most notable 90's artists and their music. The program featured music video remakes of some of their sunbaes (seniors) in the industry.
"I feel so much pride in the fact that we reanalyzed music videos," said Xiumin.
"Sometimes we were overflowing with passion after finishing filming that we went straight to the practice room to practice becoming like them," shared Sehun, the group's maknae (youngest member).
EXO-K's rapper Chanyeol meanwhile shared, "I listened to all the hit songs of our senior singers after the program was over each week."
The group's leader, Suho said, "Through 'EXO 90:2014,' I learned that generations change but there are some things that don't. It was so fun and memorable."
The staff of the Mnet variety show said, "I think music from the 90's was presented to people in today's generation as a bit more friendly and more approachable because EXO reanalyzed them. We want to thank everyone who sent their love to this program."
The last episode, which aired October 31, featured Deuce. A music video featuring EXO-K's lead dancer Kai was made for the artist's upbeat, feel-good song "In Summer," allkpop reports.
In the music video, Kai takes a summer trip alone, enjoying the beautiful weather. He runs with some playful children, builds a campfire, and gets the most of his summer.
According to Mnet, they will release the behind-the-scenes cut of Kai's MV if it reaches 300,000 YouTube view in 72 hours.
Meanwhile, EXO is set to perform in the upcoming Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2014, which will be held at the Hong Kong Asia World Expo Arena on December 3. Other artists confirmed to be attending this year's MAMA include Big Bang's G-Dragon and Taeyang.
