Starved for news about "Orange is the New Black?" Well, hopefully you are, because new info about the show's upcoming third season have popped up online.
According to TV Guide, Daya- who's been pregnant for both seasons- may finally give birth in an upcoming episode. They've spoken with Matt McGorry, who plays Bennett, Daya's love interest, and he's dropped some seriously interesting scoops about season three.
"Nine months elapses in Season 3," says McGorry on the third season.
As for how the birth might affect the sort-of "They have different ideas about what should happen, as we've seen before, and that continues to come to a head as we get closer and closer to Month Nine," the actor continues. "Hormones rage and ... in our case, it's even more complicated."
That last bit about "even more complicated" is a little vague and a little mysterious, but Enstars might have a clue as to where the storyline is headed.
They've reported that Mary Steenburgen has been cast as Pornstache's mother (thanks to a scoop by TVLine), and while Pornstache might not have that much to do with the series (given that his character was hauled off to jail), Enstars reminds us all that everyone still thinks the baby is his. Thus, his mom has a way to insert herself into all this drama.
So not only do Daya and Bennett have to contend with childbirth, conflicting parenting styles and the complications of trying to have a baby in prison while the mother is an inmate and the father is the guard... but an angry fake grandma might try to steal the kid as well.
Can you say, "complicated?"
It sounds like season three is shaping up to be seriously terrific.
