Does "Teen Mom" Leah Messer Need Rehab? Friends, Family and MTV Reportedly Planning an Intervention for Her Pill Problem similar to Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans

By

It seems "Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer's issues with drugs have become deadly serious- because her close friends, family and even MTV are all allegedly stepping in to get the troubled reality star some help.

According to Radar Online, the intervention may be the first step towards getting the "Teen Mom 2" star into rehab- something the network is all too familiar with, having previously helped two other "Teen Moms," Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans, through time in rehab.

For more, In Touch Weekly has several quotes from a source close to Messer, which explain just how serious her pill habit is.

"Leah's not in a good place right now. She's lost. Her friends think she needs rehab."

A second source for In Touch also claims that MTV may be partially behind all this.

"MTV would foot the bill," said their source. "They're as shocked about this as the fans and genuinely want her to get help."

"Leah loves her children," the source continues. "If she thinks she'll really lose them, she'll probably go to rehab. And it may just come to that."

Allegedly, Messer's pill habits got to be so rough that she was spending nearly $600 a week on drugs, purchased in quantities of 30-40.

This isn't the first time Messer has been involved with drugs- back in an August episode of "Teen Mom 2," Messer was completely incoherent, slurring her speech and drifting off on camera while trying to speak with her daughter's physical therapist.

After the episode aired, both Messer's friends and her fans thought she might possibly be on drugs, and were worried about her condition. It was also alleged that she had an alcohol problem as well as a prescription drug one.

Now, she might finally get the help she needs.
