The Detroit Pistons will travel to the Windy City to face Derrick Rose and Eastern Conference Power House Chicago Bulls Monday night, November 10, 2014. The game will tip off at 8:05 PM Eastern Time, United Center, Chicago. The game can also be viewed live online via streaming here.
The Bulls (5-2) have won four of their last five games and have become one of the more potent teams in both ends of the court in the NBA early in the season. The team scores an average of 104.3 points per game on 47.6 percent shooting while keeping opponents under 100 points on 42.7 shooting in their five games. Jimmy Butler is leading the Bulls squad in scoring with 19.6 points per game and adding 6.2 rebounds, while Pau Gasol has become a nice off-season addition with 18.6 points and 10.6 rebounds. Former league MVP Derrick Rose's status remains uncertain after spraining his ankle.
"He's not ready to go yet," Thibodeau said per ESPN's game Preview. "We'll see where he is (Sunday)".
The Pistons, meanwhile, have continued to struggle heavily on the offensive end. The team shot just 38.6 percent from the field and 26.1 percent from beyond the arc in Sunday's loss to the Utah Jazz. Greg Monroe has been effecient on the low block converting 13 of his 26 shots from the floor along with 18 rebounds in the last couple of games. The team has been abysmal on the road losing 21 of their last 23 road games. Detroit's four game road trip also includes matches against Washington, Oklahoma City and Memphis.
"It would have been nice to start that trip off a three-game winning streak -- that's why this one hurts so much," forward Josh Smith said.
Chicago is the favorite in this match-up, laying -11.5 points here at home. The Total has been posted at Over/Under 191.5 per Pro Cappers.
