South Korean record label JYP Entertainment previously stated about taking legal action against a netizen who has been attacking the label's artist Suzy of miss A through malicious comments on social media. The social media user has written messages saying the female idol should die in a car accident.
On Monday of November 11, a representative from the agency revealed that the record label is going to file a complaint in the afternoon of the same day, Allkpop reports.
The rep told media outlet Newsen, "We plan on filing a lawsuit with the police in the afternoon regarding the malicious comments left about Suzy. There will be no favorable agreements. As much as the artists have suffered, we will be addressing the issue that much harder."
The rep revealed that at 4 p.m., they would file a verbal abuse complaint with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station.
Enews reported that on November 9, a netizen wrote a harsh comment on Suzy's Twitter. The miss A member "So you wish I was dead." The commenter kept on writing, "You unfortunate person, you should just die in a car accident," as well as "Get kicked out of the entertainment industry!"
JYP immediately responded by stating, "We will take legal action. We won't be overlooking this issue."
It was reported that the following day, JYP told MyDaily about what they plan to do in response to the malicious comments of the social media user. "Recently, one netizen left malicious posts on Twitter against Suzy. We will never look on this with indifference. We can never allow comments with malicious content against artists under our agency. We will soon take legal steps to handle it firmly."
Other than being known as a member of female idol group miss A of JYP Entertainment, Suzy rose to fame as an actress with dramas such as "Dream High" and "Gu Family Book."
Meanwhile the singer-actress is currently busy filming her movie, "Dorihwaga."
