'Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire' Leak Online- 4chan Poster Shows Off Leaked Images

By

"Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" aren't set to release for another week and a half (the games' official release dates for North America are on November 21st), but one lucky fan is already playing them at this very moment.

According to Pokejungle, a poster on the image board 4chan has released pictures from the game that have never been seen before, and seem to be from a legitimate copy of the unreleased game. However, Pokejungle stresses that these may very well be doctored in some way, including the words "fake until proven real" in bold words at the end of their piece.

Still, KpopStarz has more on the issue. From their snooping, they've figured out that many Pokemon fans think this is a legit leak, and that there's nothing in the photos that implies they might have been faked.

The photos, seen above, show a female player character in a Pokemon center, and using the AreaNav, a new feature in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire that allows the player to view which wild Pokemon can be found in each portion of the map.

This isn't the first time a Pokemon game has leaked in advance. Last year, a copy of Pokemon X was leaked online, with a user sharing many, many photos and videos from the game. But according to Geek.com, it didn't last long- Nintendo was so upset over the leak that they tracked down the specific place it came from (a gaming store employee who gave an early copy to a friend) and visited the leaked to personally ask for the game back.

Faced with enraged Nintendo employees, the leaker did, in fact, give the game back.

Whoever's posting shots from "Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" may be facing the same wrath, very soon.
