"Dancing with the Stars" Judge Carrie Ann Inaba Gives Out a 9 Instead of a 10, Has Been "Getting a Lot of Hate"

By

Never let them say that being a judge on "Dancing with the Stars" isn't dangerous work.

You'd think it wouldn't be, right? Not the case. Apparently, judge Carrie Ann Inaba has been receiving some serious heat for a score she gave out in the most recent episode of "Dancing with the Stars."

Enstars reports that Inaba graded a particular dance between Bethany Mota and Derek Hough a slightly lower score than her fellow judges. The other judges gave Mota and Hough perfect 10s on all their dances, while Inaba gave the pair nines. Not much of a difference, right? You'd think there'd be no reason for fans to lose their minds.

But that's apparently not the case. Inaba has a blog in Parade Magazine where she dishes on each episode of "DWTS," and apparently her most recent blog tells that Inaba's been getting some serious hate for those 9s.

"OK, I'm getting a lot of hate about my score for Bethany and Derek. I score it as I see folks. As I've said many times, I think she's incredible. She's one of the front-runners in my mind. She's got a drive that I believe will take her far on the road to the Mirrorball Trophy. She's determined and when she dances. She really digs into the dances and brings the world to life. Like a chameleon, she is dynamic and intriguing to watch."

Even in the blog, Inaba wasn't afraid to critize the pair again, saying, ""she lacked the intimacy with Tony and some of the transitions were not as smooth as they could have been. The performance as a whole was powerful and had a fire that was incredible to experience, but it's my job to call it as I see it."

Wet Paint also adds that Inaba's gotten flack for not critizing other couples harshly enough as well. So clearly, no matter what she does, she's going to face criticism for it.
