Horror TV is all the rage right now, but "Hemlock Grove" isn't- the show is nearly over, prepping to air its last season in 2015 on Netflix.
But don't get depressed just yet- for one, there are about eight billion other horror series out there ("Teen Wolf?" "American Horror Story?" You'll find something), and because Netflix is prepared to get pretty freaky for "Hemlock Grove's" last season.
KpopStarz reports that Eli Roth, the horror filmmaker who executive produces the series, has promise fans of "Hemlock Grove" that the series will have a "killer finale," and will go to "dark and unexpected places" in its final season.
As well, Charles Eglee, who joined the series as a showrunner in season two, promised the fans even weirder stuff:
"We are delighted that our fans have invited us back to explore the fiendish recesses of the human condition for another season. Knowing it will be our last gives us the opportunity to go out in a mushroom cloud of clever and soul-shattering mayhem. See you soon on the twisted streets of Hemlock Grove."
Crossmap also has a quote from another "Hemlock Grove" producer, claiming the last season will be a "riveting and mind-bending conclusion to complete the series."
The series already has witches, vampires and werewolves (also "Vargulfs," which are like regular werewolves, but crazy and ravenous... moreso than regular werewolves, anyway). What else could the producers add? There are always other horror creatures to throw in- maybe demons? Chupacabras? Dragons? All would be cool. And extremely gruesome, given "Hemlock Grove's" track record with blood, guts and werewolf transformations.
So never fear, "Hemlock Grove" fans. Your series may be on its last legs, but those last legs are probably skeleton legs, or spider legs. Something scary.
