Former EXO member Luhan was recently recognized as the "Most Valuable Male Star Award" at the "2014 Baidu Moments Conference," allkpop reports.
According to Chinese media outlets, Luhan was present in the event held in Beijing China on November 19. This marks the singer-actor's second official event following his controversial exit from highly popular K-pop group EXO in October.
During his acceptance speech, Luhan thanked his fans for their support. "Thanks to all the fans, I'm able to stand here today," he said.
K-pop Herald noted that the former K-op star previously attended a promotional event for his upcoming movie "20s Once Again," also known as "Back to Twenty." The movie, which is a Chinese adaptation of the hit Korean movie "Miss Granny," will be released in China on January 2015.
Meanwhile, Luhan's former fellow member in EXO, Lay, hit an Instagram milestone as he reached over two million followers. Lay, who is also of Chinese descent like Luhan, has posted on his account photos of him together with other EXO members, selcas, as well a photo of him with SM founder Lee Soo Man.
In other news, EXO's D.O, also known as Do Kyungsoo, will be featured in the December issue of fashion magazine Elle Korea. During his interview with the magazine reps, the idol who is now considered a rising new actor, shared his experience working on his first drama and movie.
About his recently released movie, "Cart," D.O said that he did not get a separate acting lesson. He said he just asked their director, Boo Ji Young, each and every detail of the scenes.
He was asked about what he when he viewed the film. He answered, "Honestly, I could only see the other actors. When we were filming, I was just focused on acting with Yeom Jung Ah, and I didn't really have a chance to watch other actors act. They all put in a lot of work and they are all really great at acting."
About his recent drama "It's Okay, It's Love," he revealed while the drama already ended, he has not let go of his character Kangwoo yet. "When I was saying goodbye to the drama's writer Noh Hee Kyung at the farewell party, I teared up. Because we were the two people who understood Kangwoo the best," he sahred.
"I want to continue having these kinds of experiences," he said leaving fans with speculations that they could probably seeing more of the EXO member as an actor.
