"Orange is the New Black" Star Arrested on Potential False Allegations- Series Might Not See Delay in Filming

By

Taryn Manning, star of Netflix's "Orange is the New Black," has been arrested- according to TMZ, the actress (who plays Pennsatucky on the hit series) had violated a restraining order and was arrested because of it.

Apparently, the star had a mutual domestic restraining order set up with a former close friend, and had violated it repeatedly by sending death threats. TMZ has a few of the threats that may have been sent- "I will kill you, b***h" ... "Go f**k yourself and die," and "What's taking so long? Shouldn't you be dead by now?"

As Manning was not in court at the time, she was then arrested.

TMZ also adds that Manning's friend has also been arrested in the past for threatening messages, as well as stalking.

However, updates from TMZ and Enstars now add that the reports of Manning sending the threats may have been falsified- Manning's lawyer has made a statement explaining the issue.

"The allegation was false. It is unfortunate that additional false allegations by an individual convicted of violating orders of protection intended to protect Ms. Manning are facilitated by purported news organizations to perpetuate the harassment of Ms. Manning exponentially."

As well, the NYPD were contacted and claimed that the warrant has not been voided, which casts doubt on this entire process.

The one silver lining in this mess is that "Orange is the New Black" may not see any delays from the incident with Manning. According to Christian Today, the "latest reports" claim that no delays or struggles with the production have been reported, and all is going as well as it can be.

Hopefully Manning can get this issue sorted out and go back to a place where the only criminal offenders are actresses playing fictional ones.
