LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will travel to Washington to face John Wall and the Wizards Friday night on November 21, 2014. The game will tip off at 8:05 PM and can be viewed live online via streaming by clicking here.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards are two of the Eastern Conference's powerhouses and both are considered as early season favorites to secure one of the top-four seeds in the East.
Cleveland (5-5) posses an offensive arsenal that no other team in the NBA could possibly match if it reaches its true potential. With an imposing line-up that features two of today's most prominent superstars in LeBron James and Kevin Love and a handful of young, rising talent in Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters, the Cavaliers are fifth in the NBA in offensive efficiency and have been almost impossible to guard with the range of weapons they possess, especially in pick-and-rolls according to Rant Sports.
The main issue for the Cavs, however, has been on defense as it currently sits 26th in defensive efficiency. The team needs someone to block and alter shots in the paint as it is also 26th in opponent field goal percentage at the rim, according to NBA.com. This should ba a problem for the team when they face the Wizards who have a formidable front court duo in Marcin Gortat and Nene who love to impose their will down low.
The Wizards (7-3) are off to a solid start ealry in the season behind rising-star John Wall, even though his back court side kick Bradley Beal has been sidelined for the first nine games due to injury. In his first action of the season against the Dallas Mavericks, Beal scored 21 points including some clutch shots from beyond the arc.
The Wizards love to move the ball and play tough, hard nose defense. They are currently ranked sixth in defensive efficiency and are tied for third in offensive assist ratio. If they are able to contain some of the Cavaliers potent scorers and exploite the team's questionable defense with crisp ball movement, they should be able to come out with a victory at their own home.
Now that the Washington has reestablished itself as one of the top dogs of the East, is the Wizards-Cavaliers rivalry set for another renewal? Washington is the underdog in this matchup, getting 1.5 points here at home. The Total has been posted at Over/Under 204.5 per Pro Cappers.
