Taylor Swift's performance at the American Music Awards on November 23 had people talking, and it's not exactly her song she is being remembered for. Instead, Swift is the subject of talk because she apparently dissed ex-boyfriend Harry Styles by pointing at him towards the end of the song.
According to Hollywood Life, Swift sang her new song "Blank Space" at the AMA, and towards the end, just when she was singing about ex-boyfriends, made eye contact with Styles, who was sitting with his fellow "One Direction" band members.
"She pointed directly at Harry," the website claims. The site also relays that Styles looked at his band mates and smirked after Swift's gesture.
Cambio reports that Styles did not seem to diss the female singer back and was in fact looking respectful as Swift made her acceptance speech for Dick Clark Award for Excellence.
Despite the relationship of the two having ended in 2013, Swift and Styles has been linked to each other recently.
This November were rumored to have attended the 1975 show at the Palladium, a rumor that Mirror denies. The site says that Swift was with female friends Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez on Thursday and not with Styles. Rumors of the two hanging out and going backstage at the concert had sparked speculations that they were rekindling their romance. However, Mirror's source confirms, "Harry wasn't at the show this week."
Styles also didn't seem keen on being linked to Swift. Before the November 23 AMA event, Styles made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he clarified that he wasn't the one rumored to have sent Swift 1,989 roses. Swift's new album featuring "Blank Space" is entitled "1989," which is also her birth year.
Furthermore, an insider apparently told Hollywood Life that Styles has no intention of getting back together with Swift. "He's a nice guy and wants to be friendly. He holds no grudges, but he doesn't want to be in a relationship with Taylor again. It didn't work out and wouldn't work out if they tried it again," the insider told the website.
