When the teaser to the "Divergent" sequel, "Insurgent," debuted in theaters on November 12, fans of the Tris-Four loveteam noted the very obvious. The minute-long teaser featured Shailene Woodley as Tris in her new pixie cut do, battling gravity among other things to rescue her mother (Ashley Judd) she thought was dead to begin with.
Joseph Trapanese, who was recently tapped to score "Insurgent" echoed what everyone's minds were upon seeing the film. He told Hitflix, "It's going to connect the world of the film and Tris' mind. The first film was all about Beatrice becoming Tris, coming from a peace-loving community and becoming this warrior. In this movie, she has become a warrior, but there's obviously a bigger war that's going on. We've stepped from beyond a world of just focusing on one woman's journey, and now we're looking at the world in a very different way. We've grown up in this film. It's a bigger concept to be had."
/Slash also said that "Insurgent," Tris will be searching for allies alongside Four in the future that would looked like a ruined Chicago. Despite the chemistry seen in the original film, the challenges Tris will encounter in the sequel might test her relationship with Four.
On the other hand, it was interesting whether the chemistry between James and Woodley happen in real life. Considering the fact that James has a girlfriend, fans of the onscreen couple might be discouraged after paparazzi has taken photographic evidence of her sharing a tender moment with "Nahko and Medicine for the People" frontman Nahko Bear. In the photo published by Yahoo, the two appeared to have a tender moment a week before the teaser debuted.
But if Shailene's confession would count, it looks like a possible romantic relationship with James might be in the cards. She confessed during her press tour for "Divergent," "I'm in love with so many people. I'm in love with men. I'm in love with women. I'm in love with best friends, my brother, my mom, my dad. I think that it's so universal and at the end of the day, love is really all there is."
